Elem Corporation

Elem Corporation was founded in 1979 to manufacture men’s hosiery. “El”and “em” referred to “Leath and Maynard”, the two principles in the corporation, Bill Leath and James W. Maynard. Finishing was done by LM&M, Inc. ( Leath, McCarthy, and Maynard, Inc.) Liquidated in 1988.
